A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR TIM

Dear CUMC friends,

As I finish up my time in Senior Ministries at CUMC at the end of May, I know

gratitude for the honor of visiting, assisting in worship, presiding at funerals, and

the opportunity to occasionally preach. You shared with me a place to remember

and live out my calling in ministry. Now I simply want to spend more time

“retired” with my family.

You have a wonderful cast in the CUMC office who tried to keep me on track!

Laura Nealley is a gift in the skill, patience, and good humor she brings to each day.

Florence Bishop’s dedication to ministry provides a welcoming and committed

presence.

I am also very grateful to Rev. Dr. Matt Bates for the chance to engage in ministry

and to think out loud together. How to be a community during a pandemic - to

carry on faithful worship masked and in isolation from one another and still be in

fellowship? Pastor Matt has provided thoughtful and loving leadership through this

difficult time. He and the staff are deserving of your continued support.

Marilyn and I will continue to keep you in our prayers.

Grace & peace to you all,

Pastor Tim Gerde

Mission

Our mission is to change the world through love.

To acknowledge God’s love is, for each of us, a life-changing event.

As followers of Jesus, we share God’s love for all people, and work together to make our world a better place, one life at a time.
