ACHS COVID Vaccine Update
An UPDATE from Dr. Sarah Young-Xu
ACHS Medical Director
Dear ACHS patients and families,

NH Governor, John Sununu has just announced the next phase of the state's COVID-19 vaccine rollout - Phase 1B. This Phase will begin on JANUARY 22. Included in this group are folks who are 65 or older and those who are medically vulnerable with two or more of the following conditions:

Cancer / Chronic Kidney Disease / COPD / Down Syndrome / Heart Conditions, / Immunocompromised state from solid organ transplant / Obesity / Pregnancy / Sickle cell disease / Other High-Risk Pulmonary Disease / Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.

Qualifying conditions may vary from person to person. To determine if you qualify for this phase, you'll need to contact your primary care provider. They'll assess your medical conditions and issue you a referral for the vaccine. Patients with other conditions and vulnerabilities will be vaccinated at a later phase. Also in the Phase1B group are family members/caregivers of vulnerable patients UNDER 16.
Please note:
  • There is no need to call if you are over 65. You are already included in Phase 1B and do not need a referral.

  • ACHS will be following NH state-provided qualifying conditions list ONLY - NO exceptions.

Wait... before you call...
Registration for Phase 1B opens JANUARY 22, and we're still fine-tuning our procedures. Please be patient with us as we work through these new steps to provide the best service. If phones are busy, you may also contact your provider through your patient portal.

ACHS does NOT have the vaccine.
You'll still need to register online
and go to a state-designated site
ACHS does not have the vaccine and will not yet be administrating doses. You'll need to visit vaccines.nh.gov and begin the registration process there. If you do not have access to the internet you can call 2-1-1.

We know you're anxious, nervous, and have questions. As information becomes available, we will update our website and social media platforms. For now, the best place to get those answers is at the NH state website, or if you live in Vermont, the VT state website.

Thanks for your patience as we work through this vaccine roll out together.
Sarah
