Annual Meeting Recap
Thank you to all who attended the virtual annual meeting on October 4! We were able to both celebrate the accomplishments of the year and prepare ourselves for the unknowns of this year. Brynn Hanson and Dan Harmon were elected to first three-year terms on council and Joel Dawson and Mary Klein to second three-year terms. A deficit budget was passed with provisions to communicate how the congregation can help and for the finance team and council to review regularly, particularly paying attention to giving through December 31. Watch your e-newsletter to see how you can help!

WONDERING...
REAL QUESTIONS FROM REAL PEOPLE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT GLC
Will God punish you for doubting your faith?

This was a question submitted by a confirmation student in response to this Sunday’s sermon. I think that we can confidently say that God does not punish us for doubting. God encourages us to wrestle with him and ask the questions that we have. In the Book of Job, God tells Job that he did the right thing in confronting him after he lost everything. There are exhortations in the Bible to “not doubt but believe,” but that does not mean doubt is punishable. When we doubt, God works on helping us to find faith again.
Ugh! More Spam

GLC Life in Pictures
Confirmation student, Jackson McCarthy, and his mom, Kiki, made three pans of brownies for GLC's Lazarus House serve date this past Sunday. Job well done! #generouslifeinChrist
With outstretched arms 3-year-old Benjamin reaches for the bible he's given by Pastor Trudy. We love his enthusiasm for God's Word!
3-year-old Sebastian was so excited to receive his bible! In Baptism, parents promise to place in their children's hands the holy scripture. GLC comes alongside to help them fulfill their promises and remember they're not alone.
Send your pictures of how you are living your #generouslifeinChrist to Margo. Thank you!
