A Message from the Solon Chamber of Commerce:
Joining alongside the Ohio Chamber, Ohio Restaurant Association and National Federation of Independent Business (Ohio), the Solon Chamber of Commerce has seen first-hand the devastating effect of COVID-19 on our economy, our employees, and our families. The Paycheck Protection Program and CARES Act provided much needed short-term relief at the onset of the pandemic; however, the need for business funding through small business grants will help businesses stay afloat during these turbulent times.
We all know that many businesses will not survive this pandemic regardless of this funding, yet many will have a fighting chance if access to these funds is granted by your support. Treasurer Sprague’s streamlined, reimbursement-based grant program to cover eligible expenses to assist small businesses impacted by COVID-19 simply makes sense. The State of Ohio has the opportunity to reopen, rebound, recover, and grow safely on a larger scale when small businesses have access to much needed federal support.
As we move towards whatever our new normal looks like in the coming months and years, the Solon Chamber of Commerce will be there to advocate for our businesses to ensure a thriving local economy.
