Jeffrey Hansen-
Meet the Artist (Closing Reception)
Friday, July 15 | 5:00-8:00pm

“Non-Zero-Sum”
The first show at Mix comes to a close – an abstract paint and mixed media series entitled by artist, Jeffrey Hansen.
The title ‘Non-Zero-Sum’ refers to situations usually found within parameters of game theory and economic theory. A non-zero-sum “game” generally has no universally accepted solution. That is, there is no single optimal strategy that is preferable to all others, nor is there a predictable outcome, which closely parallels Hansen’s painting process. The multi-symbolic circle speaks to many with its infinite nature and perfection of form. Hansen’s work brings a unique visual journey to the viewer with this in mind, showing relatable yet mesmerizing abstracts, bent in metaphor and symbolism.
Racer Rivals Big Red
Saturday, July 16

Joe Nieuwendyk, Anthony Angello, Thomas Harley, and Alex Green will take the ice in this spirited exhibition hockey game to support programs for children with disabilities in our community. The event begins at 2:30pm with a free Open Skate, a rare opportunity for the public to skate at Lynah Rink. The puck drops for Racker Rivals Big Red at 4:00pm. Tickets for the game are $10, children under 7 are free. Visit www.racker.org/hockey to learn more or pledge a player!
Visit Ithaca, working with Miles Partnership, is offering a virtual workshops to provide instructional content to optimize the online presence of your business. Please register below. Whether or not you attend the session, you will receive a recording to engage on your own schedule.

Shared Work Can Help Avoid Layoffs

The Shared Work Program gives businesses an alternative to laying off workers during business downturns by allowing employees to work a reduced work schedule, collect partial unemployment insurance benefits, and retain their health insurance benefits. The program is designed to help businesses save on labor costs while retaining valued employees who have crucial skills, knowledge, and experience.
