CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
MAY 2021
Crews continue to work on the I-10/University Street project. Activities include tree removal, restriping lanes, surveying, and setting up k-rail throughout the project area.

Work throughout construction will include building retaining walls, installation of new traffic signals and updating the existing traffic signal, pavement and restriping.

CLOSURES AND DETOURS
The University Street eastbound (EB) off-ramp will be closed for tree removal from Thursday, May 6 at 9:00 p.m. to Friday, May 7 at 5:00 a.m. Detour: Ford Street exit.

At times work throughout the corridor may be loud and cause vibration. All construction is dynamic and the schedule is subject to change.

ADJACENT PROJECTS
Redlands Passenger Rail/Arrow Project
SBCTA's Redlands Passenger Rail/Arrow project is more than 90% complete. Construction on University Street and Park Avenue will continue through the Spring 2021. For more information on this project, please click here.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The I-10/University Street Improvement project is designed to relieve congestion, improve safety, and improve traffic flow as well as address the increased travel associated with existing and planned development in the City of Redlands. The project will widen the westbound I-10 on-ramp and the eastbound I-10 off-ramp, and restripe University Street from Citrus Avenue to Central Avenue.
