Health and Safety Update

Please review these updates and reminders on our Covid-19 protocols:

Covid-19 close contact notification. The Chester County Health Department requires school administrators to submit a notification form for students who have been exposed to confirmed cases of Covid-19. If your child has been exposed to anyone with Covid-19, whether they live in your household or not, please notify the Goshen office immediately. We will ask some questions about your child’s exposure, then ask you to quarantine your child for 14 days following the date of exposure or produce a negative Covid-19 test.

Travel. Goshen Friends School respectfully requests that families take precautions this holiday season. Public health experts recommend that we stay home and celebrate only with those living in our home. If you choose to travel out-of-state, per the state Health Secretary’s recent travel order, your child will be asked to quarantine or get a negative Covid-19 test before returning to school.

The state has provided a lot of helpful information in this list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) regarding the travel order.

Masking. Last week, the state Health Secretary tightened masking guidelines, including those for children ages 2 and older. To comply with these new restrictions, Goshen’s students will now wear their masks at all times except when they are eating distanced at least 6 ft apart or when taking short mask breaks. (Previously, we allowed the children to take off their masks while on the playground.)

The state has provided a lot of helpful information in this list of FAQs regarding the masking order.
From the Head of School:

Dear Goshen Families,

Wishing you all a very happy, healthy Thanksgiving holiday. Though it may feel and look a little different from previous years, I hope it is peaceful and joyful all the same!

Take good care, and we look forward to seeing you back at school Monday, December 7.

In Friendship,
Mimi
Join us for Lunch Bunch!

Come join us after school to have lunch, play with friends AND get creative with Tr. Patrice!

Now through Winter break, we are excited to announce that Patrice is firing up her workshop, just in time for the holidays! She and her friends will be making pretty holiday-themed treasures from 2 to 3 pm on designated days. Answer your child's pleas to stay for lunch, use the time to check a few items off your to-do list, and grow your collection of hand-made keepsakes. It's a win-win-win!

If you can only stay for lunch, that's OK too! Customize your child's afternoon so it works for you. Click on your class link below to make your reservation.

Please note: reservations between November 30 and December 4 are no longer available. There will be no Extended Care on December 7 due to a faculty meeting.
