Reopening Updates
Update on Transitional Reopening

Based on Sacramento County’s recent move back to the purple tier, the most restrictive tier to help slow down the spread of COVID-19, the earliest Natomas Unified School District could return for a transitional re-opening with in-person instruction is early 2021. Click here to read the full article.
COVID-19 Safety Across NUSD
When students and staff are on any NUSD campus, they must complete a self-screening before arriving on campus. This is an important precaution to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Watch this video to learn how students can practice safety before they return to campus for in-person learning.
NUSD will provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to keep students and staff safe when they return to campus for in-person learning. Students and staff will also see PPE signage around campus to ensure safety protocols are followed. Here are some examples of PPE supplies and signage students and staff will see throughout each campus.
Across NUSD, drinking fountains have been converted into refill stations that will allow students to more safely stay hydrated. When students return to school, they will be required to bring a water bottle. Additional water bottles will be available in the health office for students who need them.
