NOTABLE NEWS
Costar News: Hilco Redevelopment Partners announced their acquisition of the decommission GenOn power plant on Alexandria's waterfront. This will be one of the most transformative developments in Alexandria, with Hilco committed to remediating and redeveloping the nearly 20-acre property. Changes are coming to the Eisenhower corridor as City Council approved two new developments - one in the Carlyle neighborhood, and the other in Eisenhower Valley. Read more in ALX Now
This week begins the first ever Alexandria Shop Small Week! This year's holiday shopping season is more important than ever for independent retailers. Alexandria's boutiques are going above and beyond to keep visitors safe with the ALX Promise shield and are ready to welcome masked customers. Agenda Alexandria will host a panel of key local leaders (including AEDP's President & CEO, Stephanie Landrum) will take a deep dive into how businesses are "Surviving or Thriving Through the Pandemic as They Adjust to the New Economic Reality."

The Alexandria Economic Development Partnership will be closed on Thursday and Friday, 11/26-27. 
The Carlyle Vitality Initiative will start its Annual Holiday Market virtually for one week before the in-person event. This year, shop online and preorder the perfect present prior to the in-person market. Pre-orders may be picked up on December 5th and 6th (depending on the respective vendors' availability) from 10 am to 7 pm.
