McNair Campus Edition
(8th - 11th Grade)
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Dear Lycée Families,

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Kim Conner-Davis as the interim principal of the Lower School Campus of Lycée Français de la Nouvelle-Orléans. In July, Mrs. Conner-Davis joined the team as the assistant principal of the Lower School Campus. She comes to Lycée Français as an experienced, multi-area certified classroom educator and school leader of 20 years. Her areas of expertise include science, math, ELA, ESL, 504, special education, student discipline, RTI, Title I, and testing. She has been a member of national and statewide educational standards committees, school steering committees, local school councils, and neighborhood improvement committees throughout several schools and residential districts in Louisiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin. She has won numerous awards in science education and presented at several local and national science and technology conferences.

As a native of Southern Louisiana and the daughter of an elementary school principal and teacher, Mrs. Conner-Davis has a strong French and educational heritage. Therefore, she not only believes but lives Lycée Français’s mission. When commenting on her appointment, she remarked, “I look forward to an amazing opportunity where my passion, dedication, and experience in educating diverse groups of students can help inspire and support the French teaching and learning process—ensuring that every child has an exceptional academic experience.”

I am thrilled that Mrs. Conner-Davis has accepted the interim principal position, and I am confident that her solid educational background, teaching experiences, and leadership expertise are an excellent match for Lycée Français. Please join me in extending a warm welcome to Kim Conner-Davis as the interim principal of the Lower School Campus of Lycée Français de la Nouvelle-Orléans.

Amis Du Lycée Update
I hope that you and your family are well. I would like to share an update on the Alfred C. Priestley building renovation and restoration project following Hurricane Ida.

John Vollman, our Priestley project manager and liaison who is also a parent at Lycée Français, is happy to report that there doesn't appear to be any significant damage to Priestley from Ida. The job site is open and slowly coming back to life. The historic oak trees on the school grounds suffered minimal damage with only a few branches down.

Thank you for your support of Lycée Français de la Nouvelle-Orléans and the Room to Grow Capital Campaign.

With kind regards,

Anne Normann

Dear Anger, a podcast for parents (and really any human who gets angry)
Listen on iTunes, Spotify, or Google Podcasts.

Of all the emotions, anger is one of the hardest (if not the hardest) to navigate. We consistently see questions pour in from parents and professionals:

How do we not get so triggered by our kids or teens?
How do we help our kids when they get angry over and over again?
How do we use coping skills in the moment of anger?
How do we just make it go away?

If you have a question, we have a conversation you're not going to want to miss!
We're thrilled to share with you the launch of our new free podcast:
