As we gear up for a summer of adventure, we've got some important travel tips to share with you:

  • First off, if you're planning on traveling internationally, it's always a good idea to register your trip with the United States State Department. This will not only give you peace of mind, but it will also ensure that you have access to support in case of an emergency. To get started, head to this link and create an account: https://step.state.gov/step/.

  • Next up, we know that unexpected health issues can put a damper on any trip, so make sure you're covered with travel health insurance. Before you set off, take a look at the attached pdf for all the facts you need to know.

  • Now, if you're thinking about sending some souvenirs back home, we've got a fun fact for you: did you know that it's impossible to exceed the 70lb weight limit of the small USPS flat rate box? Even if you filled it with the densest material on Earth (Osmium), it would only weigh 61.5 lbs.

  • Finally, we've got a rather...unique problem. After drug lord Pablo Escobar's death, his private zoo was left with a group of hippos that have since multiplied to over 140 animals. While they may seem cute, these hippos are causing some major issues in Colombia - think mud, expense, and a whole lot of stink.
