Church...
Community...
Compassion
Our mission:

As a diverse and joyful community of Christ’s followers, we explore how God’s gracious love gives meaning to our lives and faith and inspires us to address the needs of our world. Through our worship, learning, and service, God fills us with purpose, compassion, courage, and hope.

The past weeks have shown numerous examples of First Presbyterian Church engaging with our larger community, in service to many.
This year's CROP Hunger Walk has taken on even more importance, with the pandemic impacting the ability of many of our neighbors to secure enough to eat.

These walkers from First Pres gathered at Jacobsburg State Park on Sunday for an outdoor, masked trek to raise funds. So far the First Pres team has raised $1050, and we are still accepting donations.

If you are interested in making a donation – please do so online through our team link. To contribute by check, make it out to the church with “CWS/CROP” in the memo line, and mail or drop off your checks to: FPCB, Attn: CROP Walk, 2344 Center Street, Bethlehem, PA 18017.

Thank you for helping address this very important challenge!
Another way we are supporting efforts to feed our neighbors is the CommUNITY Garden, located on the FPCB campus and tended by volunteers from a number of houses of worship. For this very productive growing season, over 2000 pounds of produce have been donated to New Bethany Ministries and Safe Harbor.
On a little lighter note, we engaged in our community on Sunday by gathering a small but mighty group (with four-legged friends) to video our contribution to the City's virtual Halloween Parade. Yes, this year the traditional parade will be a video of contributed clips from groups all over Bethlehem

The virtual parade will be telecast on Sunday, October 25 at 2 p.m. on RCN, Service Electric and https://www.basdschools.org/basdtv (we'll remind you).
