But he was pierced for our transgressions,

    he was crushed for our iniquities;

the punishment that brought us peace was on him,

and by his wounds we are healed.

- Isaiah 53:5-

It was your sin that nailed him to the cross.

It was my sin that pierced his side.

It was the sin of the world that spit upon him.

Our Lord Jesus suffered, oh, how he suffered. As bad as it was, the bleeding, the piercing, and the spitting weren’t the worst part. The worst part was that Jesus took our sins upon himself and suffered the full wrath of God- the wrath you and I fully deserve. It was our sin that Jesus took upon the cross that dark, dark afternoon.

Incredibly, the saving work of Jesus is just that- taking my sin, your sin, the sin of the world upon himself, ‘by his wounds we are healed.’

Why did he do it? He didn’t have to. Jesus, fully God, could have easily snapped the nails like toothpicks, melted the spear, and closed the mouths of the spitters. He could have climbed down from that splintery cross, but he didn’t. Instead, he suffered.

Jesus, fully man, bled and died. His blood spilled on a hill named “Skull.” Why did he take your sin and my sins upon himself? The cross reminds us why …. LOVE. Jesus said, “For God so loved …” The crucifixion death reminds you of his great sacrifice. The resurrection reminds you death has no power! You have been purchased; you have been won at a great cost!

(In His death, Jesus has) …“redeemed me, a lost and condemned person, purchased and won me from all sins, from death, and from the power of the devil; not with gold or silver, but with His holy, precious blood and with His innocent suffering and death.” -Martin Luther

See you Friday night as we see our Lord Jesus crucified for sinners. See you again Sunday morning as we celebrate the empty tomb! May this Holy Week remind you of His indescribable sacrifice. He did it all FOR YOU.

Pastor Austin

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Getting to know the people of Grace Fellowship

Meet the Krafts!

Pastor Austin & Missy, and their family

Brookelyn & Caleb (Sharpe),

Kaylie, Kaden, and Brady

How long have you lived in the valley?

We have come up and visited our friends, Jeremy and Tiffany Gross in Eagle for years. We felt called to move here from Castle Rock in 2012, without knowing what all God had planned for us. Austin was still selling real estate and getting his ministry degree while Missy was a stay-at-home mom at the time. We grew up in Aurora and have also lived in Durango and Parker, Colorado.

What do you and your family like to do in your spare time?

We love to spend time as a family in general. The boys love to fish, bike, camp, and golf. The ladies love typical girly things like shopping, having mani/pedis together, going out for a good coffee, and decorating. We have spent a lot of time over the years watching all of our kids play multiple sports, which is probably our favorite past-time to date. Austin and I look forward to doing more outdoor activities together as the kids get older and stop sucking all of our money from us. (Haha, we wouldn't change it for the world!)

What is something fun you can share about your family that we might not already know?

Fun Kraft Family Facts:

Austin can imitate lots of voices of different characters...our favorite is probably Jimmy Stewart. Most annoying...Elmo! He loves to make us laugh!

Missy has won a few modeling contests as a teenager and an adult and was third runner-up in the Mrs. Colorado Pageant. Now she's been known to go to the grocery store in her pajamas! Ahh, comfort rules.

Brookelyn broke the 3-point shot record in basketball at VCHS her senior year...all while playing with a complete thoracic spinal fusion she had at the age of 13.

Caleb loves jujitsu and can run endless miles like it's nothing. It's clear he has a different genetic makeup. Haha

Kaylie has an adventurous spirit and can speak in many amazing accents that will leave you cracking up! She also loves all things vintage.

Kaden can cut a rug with his amazing dance moves, but watch out! He'll sweat like crazy because he gives it his all!

Brady is very competitive and was the first one in the fam to get up on a wakeboard last summer on vacation. He can also play a mean hand of poker! Don't let him hustle you!

Join us Friday, April 7th @ 6:30 pm.

Let's remember His sacrifice together.
