Please remember that per the City of Delaware, there are NO LEFT TURNS into the parking lot off of Grandview Avenue on school days during the hours of 7:45 - 9:00

and 2:30 - 3:30.

There is also NO PARKING in the doctors offices next to our school.

Pets on School Premises

As much as we like our furry friends, we have some students at school who are highly allergic. We ask that you please keep the safety of our students in mind and leave your pets at home during pick up and drop off times.

Thank you for understanding.

*We will not be issuing bus passes to ride with friends for the 21-22 school year. If your child needs a bus pass for daycare purposes, please call the school office.

Transportation and class information can now be viewed in your PowerSchool Parent Portal. Please have your student's Transportation Request Form filled out to give directly to the bus driver when riding the bus for the first time during the 21-22 school year.

8:30 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

The building will open at 8 a.m. for students having breakfast only

All other students may enter the building at 8:20 a.m.

Please remember to get a doctor's excuse to turn in to the school office if your child is absent for a medical or dental appointment. 'the student will be excused from school with proper documentation from the physician indicating the appointment time and duration of the office visit.' See page 13 of the 21-22 Student Handbook

Student Absence Reporting Procedure

Please report your child's absence by calling

1-844-817-5313 (toll free) or online at go.schoolmessenger.com

We are using the SafeArrival Attendance system again for the 21-22 school year. If you are a new user, you must create an online account to use the web portal / phone app features. Your email must match the email you use for PowerSchool.

You may report your student's absence for the same day until 15 minutes after the start of school. After that time, you must call the school office or use the interactive features when you receive a notification call.
You can schedule planned absences in advance by using the online portal or Smartphone App.
If you do not report your child's absence, you will receive a phone call via our interactive phone system for you to verify your student's absence. You may also receive calls from the school office.
It is important that you maintain a current phone number and email address with your child's school to ensure timely communication regarding your child.

Changes in your student's normal dismissal routine:

Please send a note to your child's teacher and contact the school office at 740-833-1450. Please call the office by 2:00 pm for any same day dismissal changes. If there is no contact with the school regarding the change, your child will follow their normal dismissal routine.

Parent Communication

There are several ways to receive information about Carlisle School and Delaware City Schools. Please check out the following:

Text Messages: to receive text messages from DCS you must opt in by texting the word YES to 67587 from the phone on which you want to receive the message. The number must match the number we have listed in your students' contact file. If you receive a message that the number is not in the DCS system, please contact the Carlisle office and request to add your number or make a change to the number we have on file.

PLEASE Make sure you have an e-mail that you check regularly on file with the school office. Many of our communications and notifications will be sent to you via e-mail.

The COVID Dashboard has been established for this school year and is available on the district website for our staff, families and community to stay informed of COVID cases reported within the schools.
