A Special Message from Reverend John

The Church to Launch an Engagement Census This December

This winter, at my request, the Leadership Development Team ("LDT") is sponsoring a data collection effort that will capture how all of us are engaging with the church across multiple points. This data will serve as our baseline for analytical and informational inquiries in the future.

In mid-December we will send out an electronic survey to all our community that captures our interests and skills (the engagement part) and demographics (the census part). There will also be a couple of open-ended questions for you to share your thoughts with us. We ask that everyone participate so we can have clean, clear data for the future. We hope to conclude the effort by end of January.

Questions? Contact Carol Seiple, Beth Cliff or me, Rev. John.
These can be isolating times we live in. The Pastoral Care Associates want to serve us all. Accordingly they will be reaching out to us in the next few weeks, just to check in and see how we're each doing. Please don't be surprised when your phone ring and there's a friendly TUCW voice on the other end.
Questions? Contact Kathy Roberts or Jim Francek.
Grief Support Group Begins Monday, Dec. 14, 4:00-5:00 PM
TUCW is offering an online Grief Support Group beginning Monday, December 14 from 4:00-5:00 PM. The group will run for 6 consecutive Mondays from December 14th to January 18th. It is intended for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one, whether recent or in the past. We ask those who sign up to attend all 6 sessions if possible.

This group is free and open to TUCW and the wider community. The series has been run before to very positive reviews: many folks have found it to be comforting and invaluable in working through very personal and intimate times. If you know someone who might benefit from this experience, please feel free to extend this invitation to them.

Registration is required and is open now until December 11. To register please contact one of the facilitators, Pat Francek, LCSW (patfrancek@gmail.com) 203-893-1781 or Chuck Harrington, PhD (ccharrington20@gmail.com) 203-984-2324. Thank You.
Mark your calendars: Our Intern Minister Kim Warman, and Intern Minister Carrie McEvoy (The Community Church of New York Unitarian Universalist), will lead us in a Blue Holiday Service Monday, December 21 at 8L00 PM. The service will be broadcast from the sanctuary; we will participate via ZOOM. Details to follow.

The holidays are a tender time for many of us. Please join Mss. Warman and McEvoy for an enriching, spiritual time together.
