Palmetto Bay, we have some exciting news!
We've officially launched our Street By Street app. This is our latest innovative tool which will assist residents on requesting services, receiving notifications and alerts.
By downloading the Palmetto Bay Street By Street app, you will be able to view upcoming events, news, Village's official twitter page, Village's official Facebook page, IBUS tracker and scheduling an appointment.

Xavier Cortada's "Flower Force" Sculpture Dedication
As part of the Village's Art-In-Public-Places program, a beautiful sculpture has been installed on the traffic circle located at the intersection of SW 168th Street and SW 82nd Avenue. The new sculpture pays homage to the state's ecosystem which has been impacted by the many inhabitants of the area over the years, from Tequesta Indians to Spanish conquistadors.
A special dedication ceremony is scheduled for October 10th.

Multi-use Trail Feasibility Study Public Meeting
|
|
The Virtual Public Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 22, 2021 and will begin at 6:00 p.m.
The meeting will begin at 6:00 pm with introductions and a presentation, followed by a question-and-answer period. Please click here to register for the Public Information Meeting. Questions and comments may be submitted to the project team during the meeting via the online chat. If you are unable to attend the meeting, a recording will be available to view after September 22 nd on the Village’s website.

The Florida Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program is a federal and state mandated program that seeks to improve the quality of life for all long-term care residents by advocating for and protecting their health, safety, welfare, and rights.
The volunteer ombudsmen maintain a presence in Florida's nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and adult family care homes, identifying, investigation and resolving residents' concerns.

First Budget Hearing Recap
|
This past Monday, the Village Council held its first Budget Hearing after a month long meeting hiatus. The hearing follows three budget workshops held in May, June and July respectively. Up for discussion was the Proposed Operating & Capital Budget for Fiscal Year 2021-22, published earlier. Under Council consideration were two ordinances; one to approve the proposed millage rate and the other to approve the proposed budget.
