Tech Support and Student Reponsibilities

Student Tech Request: http://studenttechrequest.ocps.net/

Students, do not forget that these devices are on loan for the year.
You need to take very good care of them. We are seeing devices that have been dropped, broken ports/jacks, water damage etc. Please note damage to devices will result in a fee. Please review the handbook at https://www.ocps.net/cms/One.aspx?portalId=54703&pageId=166332

To prevent damage to devices:
  • Do not put your water bottles in the same pocket of your backpack as your device
  • Do not eat or drink near your device
  • Do not color on your device
  • Do not pull on the Otterbox stands
  • Do not yank on chargers, USB's or headphones. This causes things to break off in ports.
It is a very good idea to purchase a protective sleeve to keep your device in.

Students, you are responsible for:
  • Charging their digital device nightly.
  • Restarting their digital device weekly to get important updates.
  • Bringing their digital device to school daily.
  • Reporting any loss of, or damage, to the digital device within 72 hours.
NOTE: Teachers will design many of their lessons and classroom activities based on students having access to their digital device. If students does not have their digital device and/or it is not charged, they will still be required to participate in the day's activities with alternative tools/materials.

Staff Spotlight
Meet Mrs. Quick, our new school bookkeeper!
Mrs. Quick, School Bookkeeper
In her role as bookkeeper, Mrs. Quick will be assisting Tildenville Elementary with transactions that involve mathematics and money! You'll see her as events occur, such as the photography sessions for student pictures and yearbook! She'll also be ordering supplies and assisting staff with our fundraisers.

Mrs. Quick is a new resident of Winter Garden and new to Tildenville Elementary. She was born in Chicago and raised in Michigan. As a young adult she moved to southwest Florida. Mrs. Quick was raised playing sports with volleyball being her favorite! When she moved to Florida she played volleyball both indoors (court) and outside (beach).

Her favorite things to do in her spare time are: 1) Spending time with her family including her spouse, Danny, and her children Jason, Tiffany, Patrick, Ryan, Evan, and Austin. She also has grandchildren: Landon, Eleanor, Violet, and Harrison; 2) Watching sports with favorites being football, volleyball, and baseball; 3) Bicycling; and 4) Walking her dog Tanner! As for favorite places to be, for Mrs. Quick that would be by the lake with boating preferred!

Meet Mrs. Vega, our new school bookkeeper!
Hola! I'm Mrs. Vega, your School Secretary. I have been with OCPS for over 10 years and I love helping others. As your School Secretary I play a role in the process of ensuring we have teachers for every classroom and a full staff for all our students. I also help ensure our front office is a welcoming and safe environment for our students, parents and staff. You may also see me in the school clinic helping take care of our Tigers, assisting with Spanish translations or providing parents with school related information.
