Dear Community,

Each week is a little different at our Market. Our regulars know they can always find something special, no matter how many times they've made their way downtown on a Saturday.

This week, are are spotlighting one of our Market Family - Serenaty Lumpkin of Traditional French Crepes, who is a fabulous young author and entrepreneur. Read more about her and her new book Asterism below, and make sure to stop by her booth to pick up your copy (and have it signed!)

Speaking of family - this week, Kokokahn Essential Oils shares some oil blends that can help your family stay healthy and protected during cold and flu season. Make sure to check those out below along with our featured non-profit, this week's live music, and the latest Market Map - all below!

Special Event: Teen Author Book Signing
Serenaty Lumpkin, Asterism
The Granddaughter of Roverta Winn, proprietor of Traditional French Crepes, Serenaty has been coming to the Sarasota Farmers Market since the early age of 3 with her mother, Natalia Winn (owner of Big Top Baskets). Just helping out at first, she has now graduated to a professional “Crepe Chef” on Saturdays and also helps her grandmother run the business.

During long market days, Serenaty would read many books and developed an interest in writing. She particularly developed a love of poetry. Working at the Sarasota Farmers Market has given Serenaty opportunities to build connections with the community and meet other entrepreneurs like herself.

Come meet this amazing young entrepreneur at the Market this week! She will be signing her first published book Asterism. (RSVP on FB: https://fb.me/e/1gMduVfZv)

Serenaty will be located on Lemon Avenue south of State Street (Space #50).
Featured Non-Profit:
Adult Community Enrichment Program (ACE) /
Manasota Weavers Guild
The Manasota Weavers Guild formed in 1964 to promote hand weaving, spinning and other related fiber arts. In the beginning, the Guild founders first met in their homes and over the course of the past 57 years, they’ve met monthly at local art centers, churches, libraries and just about anywhere else they could find space.

As part of their mission and community outreach, guild members often volunteer to teach and/or demonstrate weaving and spinning.

For over 10 years, the Guild offered weaving classes to the community through the Adult & Community Enrichment program (ACE) at the Suncoast Technical College and in November they are offering a new class: Intro to Weaving – Give It a Try.

ACE/Manasota Weavers Guild will be located on Lemon Avenue south of Main Street, near Wild Side Farms.
Entertainment this Week
A recent passion for gypsy jazz music in the vein of Django Reinhardt has put Dean Johanesen on a musical path with a focus on new stories of old times. Non-fictional characters from the '20s and '30s, circus performers, the side show, Prohibition, the war of currents all placed in a backdrop of gypsy swing.

Dean will be performing at the intersection of Lemon Ave and State St in front of The Mark entrance, 9:00am - 12:30pm.
