If you are staying in Minneapolis, what will Sunday worship look like? Sunday's worship will be on the live stream! This means that worship will be offered at CPBC and on YouTube but not at the Crosstown building.
Equip Hour starts Sept 26th!
Equip Hour will still be an hour, 10:45-11:45, to dig into the Word of God together, to learn more about local ministries, and to grow together. The reimagined Equip Hour will still have youth, children, and adult offerings. Comment Section is returning with some strategic combining of adults and youth.
Sept 26th we kick off with a special speaker: Arrive Ministries. And the Community Caring Commission will be providing treats to celebrate the return of this program.
Arrive Ministries & opportunity to Help a Crosstown Member host refugees
On Sept 26th Arrive Ministries will be here to kick off Equip Hour. Plan to join us to learn more about ways to love and care for our displaced neighbors. Also Lois Young has opened her home to host refugees in need. Please use the google form to learn how you can support her in this ministry.

After retreat we are kicking off a new sermon series about Identity. Who does God say you are?
This series will be guided by Klyne Snodgrass' book. Identity is a vital topic and this book does a wonderful job exploring the theology of identity. We encourage you to take some time to read this discovery of who you are in Christ.
Who God says you are: A Christian understanding of identity

"This book is about the most fascinating subject in the world: you." -Klyne Snodgrass

Searching for a New Director of Worship Arts
'Be quiet!' said Jesus sternly. 'Come out of him!' The evil spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek. The people were all so amazed that they asked each other, 'What is this? A new teaching - and with authority! He even gives orders to evil spirits and they obey him.' News about him spread quickly over the whole region of Galilee. Mark 1:25-28

As we, the Crosstown congregation, come before God each day this week, asking for His wisdom and power in our search for a worship director, let us remember the authority Jesus gave His disciples (and US) as we seek God's leading, praying in the name of Jesus. Martin Luther wrote 'We must all remember that he who prays is fighting against the devil and the flesh. The best thing we can do is to put our fists together and pray.'

Thank you for your prayers,
The Worship Director Search Committee
Dennis Olson (Deacon, Chair of Worship Search), Mark Ogawa (Elder), Mike Anderson (church chair), Kathy McGillivray (congo rep), Michelle Acosta (congo rep), Iris Smyth (congo rep), John Jacobi (pastor)

The start of Sanctuary Renovation Project (SRP) has been delayed due to a subcontractor experiencing material delays on another job. The original start date was September 29 and it's now been pushed back. Our plan to relocate our Sunday worship from the Sanctuary to the Commons will be delayed until we have a firm start date from our contractor--Appro. Further information will be communicated as soon as it's available.
