Dear Club President and Club Membership Chairs:
For those who where able to attend the Membership Meeting on Tuesday, November 17th, Terry Ross, and I both thank you for taking the time out of your day to learn and share. I understand that not all were able accommodate the schedule and to attend.
First was the role and importance of the Club Membership Chairs and activities and tips to recruit, engage and retain members.
- Membership Chair Guide and training video available
- A focus on membership - KI video
- Giving your Club a Boost and a Members Event toolbox
Less than 40% of clubs have identified Club Membership Chairs! That is the first step to grow and retain members!
Second, Terry provided an update on membership initiative:
- No new member fees if joining an existing club until December 30, 2020 - no cost until October 2021 renewal
- Membership Contest - entries by sponsoring new members, 6 winners get registration to August 2021 DCON in Swift Current
- Support is available from District, Lt. Governors, and specific Past Governor's (financial, coaching, and resources - call for more details)
The meeting concluded with Zoom Round table of questions, answers, and thoughts.
One general comment was the need to go "virtual" or "online" using Zoom or other platforms. The Open House Toolbox includes a couple of article on using Zoom and the Kiwanis PPE video was mentioned.
Thank you for all you do for kids in your community and to strengthen clubs so we can continue to serve
