AmeriCorps Senior RSVP Highlight

Volunteer to give and get- happiness!

For 50 years AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP of the St Cloud Area (RSVP) has been matching senior volunteers with community needs. Today there are 900 active volunteers who have served more than 95,000 hours in the past year.

Are you 55+ and looking for …  Social connection? A sense of purpose? Ways to share your life experience? There are hundreds - maybe even thousands! - of volunteer roles waiting for someone just like you to fulfill!

  • Make sure everyone has enough FOOD to eat when you share your time helping shopping, packaging, or serving food.
  • Support HEALTHCARE by offering transportation, greeting/giving directions, or providing help during a disaster.
  • Whether you want to build a roof or be part of the behind-the-scenes support, our neighbors could use your help with HOUSING.
  • Spend time guiding or listening to youth and supporting EDUCATION in the classroom or in positive afterschool activities.
  • Help people access the skills and support they need for FINANCIAL STABILITY.
  • Be a friend to someone in need with SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT.

There are one-time and ongoing volunteer roles for you to choose from!

Ready to learn more? Stop by the RSVP office at Whitney Senior Center or give us a call.

Our friendly staff are here to get to know you and support you in getting involved. In addition to personalized experience, RSVP volunteers receive transportation reimbursement and liability insurance when they’re volunteering.

Make giving back your second act. Join us!

Recreation Center Highlight

Park & Recreation offers pickleball lessons!

Lessons can include developing basic skills, reviewing rules and regulations, and implementing them into game situations. Skills often cover ball control, forehand/band hand drive, drive/lob serve, forehand/backhand lob, smash, and strategy.
