MINISTER'S MESSAGE
Beloveds,

Even before the pandemic, it seemed that in our society there was an epidemic of loneliness. People work so many hours per week to get ahead and lose track of friends and families. The days of us all living on the same block as our extended family are long gone. When we are home, or even out with friends and family, we might well be on our phones checking email or social media. It has been said that our greatest error of thought (also called a sin in mainstream religions) is that we are separate both from God and each other. The healing Truth is that we are not and never could be separate from the Divine.

This month we’ll be exploring our Cosmic Connections. Even during the shutdown, we had the means of staying connected. We have phones. We discovered technology. We discovered how to use that technology. There were some hilarious and some frustrating experiments as we learned to use that technology. It even gave us a reason to connect and ask, “Do you know how to…?”

I have also heard that being away from people physically brought many people closer to the Divine Being within. Many people stepped up their spiritual practice, began letting go of the need to rush about mentally as well as physically. There was time to read that stack of books in the corner. There was time to meditate with others online. There was time to just sit and do nothing and let the world spin around us. There was time to pray.

As we move into the fall, schools open and the holiday season gets closer. Let us remember that the Oneness within is there whether we are busy in the outside world or not. Let us retain this deep lesson about our Cosmic Connection in this and the coming months.

Board Report
Hello and Blessings to all.

This month I thought I would do something different for our monthly report. I want to highlight an individual that has been around our Center since 2002. He twice served on our Board, once when Reverend Doctor Bob was minster and with Reverend Kathleen. Prior to that, when he moved to Prescott in 1999, he was shocked to find snow that he was told did not happen in Prescott. He had his own business cleaning and blocking western hats for several years. He met many people from different countries and different walks of life. He was married to his third wife, having lost his first wife to cancer and his second wife to unhappiness. He has two children from his first wife, son Mark, married and living in North Carolina and daughter Lynn, single and working for a financial institution living in Pennsylvania.

In case you have not figured it out, I am writing about Albin Wisniewski. Albin first came to our Center because he read the monthly magazine, he thought it was a place to fill a hole in his heart. He spoke to Doctor Bob via phone, and it was suggested Albin give the Center a try. That Sunday he walked into our Center and after the service was greeted by Reverend Doctor Bob. He still remembers the handshake and smile. He already felt at home and that he found a place to fill that hole.

Albin has been of continuous serve ever since. He worked in the garden and has his name on the plaque in the garden, along with other volunteers who have worked to make our Center feel like home. I am sure that garden has filled many hearts. He likes to say, “I came with the building”, and I for one appreciate him and what he has done.

Blessing to all,
Tom Kimmerle (Board President)
SCIENCE OF MIND MEDITATION
The Circle Is Complete
graphic-heart.gif
The Circle of Love is complete.

It comprehends all, includes all, and binds all together with
cords of Everlasting Unity.

I cannot depart from Its Presence nor wander from Its care.

My Love is complete within me.

The Love of God binds me to Itself, and will not let me go.

I shall make a home for you, O my wonderful Love, and
we shall journey through life hand in hand.

I shall sit in your Presence and learn the wonderous things
You will tell me;

For You are God.

Love sits within me.

NEW CSLPRESCOTT.ORG WEBSITE
silver-keyboard2.jpg
This week, CSL Prescott launched our brand new website! With lots of great pictures and a fresh new look, it's attractive and easy to use. You can register for classes and events, make financial contributions with ease and enjoy an always-up-to-date master calendar. We designed it to be mobile-friendly, so you can use it just as easily on your tablet or smart phone as you do your home computer. We think you're going to love it. Let us know what you think!

GET SUPPORT FROM THE HEART CONNECTION
During this strange time in which so many people are feeling stress, the Heart Connection continues to connect with those in our CSLP family. We are sending cards, writing emails, and making telephone calls. There have been car parades in Prescott Valley and Prescott with CSLP members parading by sequestered folks' homes, honking their horns, waving, yelling hello, and having encouraging, loving signs on their cars. This certainly brightened the day for those recipients! We are encouraging people to reach out to our wonderful Practitioners and to call us in the Heart Connection for any needs. We are keeping our CSLP family in our prayers and are all looking forward to the day when our Center opens again. Love and Blessings to all!

VISITATION MINISTRY
The month of August, 2020 continued to present challenges to the Visitation team. The month of August due to social distancing, closing of Retirement homes, and hospitals to visitors, the team relied on telephone calls to make visits.  During the month of August, 2020, seven (7) team members reported visiting (actual or Telephone) 16 separate individuals during the month; A total of 48 visits were made. One (1) tram member grocery shopped for and individual. Another team member provided transportation for an individual..In addition, the team reported participating in two (2) Virtual Prayer Circles for individuals who were undergoing a medical procedures.

Would you like a visit, telephone visit, telephone call, Prayer Circle or Virtual Prayer Circle by the Visitation Team for yourself or another? A Virtual Prayer Circle is performed when it is impractical to be at the hospital. A Virtual Prayer Circle is where each member goes into prayer at a designated time, wherever they are, for an individual undergoing a medical procedure. If this is for you, please contact the Pastoral Care Coordinator, David Sharer RScP at (928) 771 2791. The team loves to serve by making visits and praying with you.

Love & Light,
David Sharer, RScP

ERNEST HOLMES QUOTES

"I do not think we can ever be disconnected from God, but we may behave as though we are. Spiritual healing is largely, then, an act of consciously unifying our thought, by a process of affirmation or realization, with That from which we have never been separated.."
