Federation Report - September 17, 2021
Mississippi River Restoration and Resilience Initiative Act

The Conservation Federation of Missouri is engaged with a nascent national effort to create a 10-state initiative to restore the Mississippi River. Legislation to create such a program (a Mississippi River Restoration and Resilience Initiative) has now been introduced to Congress. Given its bipartisan, multi-state nature, we’re optimistic such a bill could advance in both chambers with potentially significant, long-lasting impacts on river health.

Hunting and fishing are engrained in American culture. However, the true value of outdoor sports is far greater than retail sales, annual licenses and permits, or the number of participants. It's about the experience. Folklore is a powerful way to stabilize cultural practices and traditions. Conversations could begin at home, the workplace, or in the classroom, so start one today!

The book is available online in the CFM Store!
