Ready, set, go!
Hello Friends,

Festival 2022
The registration portal at www.ottawakiwanismusicfestival.com will open on Monday November 1st. We strongly urge you to get your registrations in well before the deadline of December 21st so that you have time to address any technical issues without being overly stressed.

A reminder that the Festival will be a hybrid for 2022 - the main entries will be submitted by video and adjudicated remotely as has happened for the last two Festivals. However (as long as we're allowed to do it) we will have live Trophy Classes for most of our disciplines, including Harp and Guitar. Most of the Trophy Classes will take place at St Aidan's Church on Hamlet Avenue - dates to be announced. We're very excited to announce that the Music Theatre Trophy Class will take place at Dominion Chalmers on April 19th.

We are almost finished putting our Adjudicator team together and will post the information to our website very soon.
Dates to remember:

November 1, 2021 - registration portal opens
** We recommended that you register early to avoid any computer problems that often happen at the last minute!

February 12, 2022 - deadline for minor changes to your registrations

CFMTA Canadian Music Week – November 21-27, 2021
This is a call out to anyone who performed a work by a Canadian Composer in the 2021 Festival. We would love to feature our performers' videos for a full week of Canadian music on our YouTube Channel. If you performed a Canadian work and would like to resend us the YouTube link to your video, we will include it in our playlist. Please send the link to kim@okmf.ca before November 15th – be sure to uncheck the “this is made for kids” button so we can access the video – and list the Class # for which you submitted the video, the name/composer of the repertoire and, of course, the performer’s name. Thank you so much!
AGM - November 15, 2021 at 11:00 am
via Zoom
As mandated by CRA, as a registered Charity we are obligated to hold a public Annual General Meeting each year. At this meeting we will approve the Annual Report found on our website's homepage, which includes the Nominations Report for Directors for 2021-2022 and the Budget for 2021-2022. The Financial Statements for the year ended June 30, 2021 (coming soon to our website) will also be accepted at this meeting.

Donors who gave $50 or more to the Festival as well as all regular volunteers are eligible to vote at the AGM.

Please email kim@okmf.ca if you wish to "attend" this Zoom meeting. Only people who have sent this email will receive the Zoom link to the meeting.
