A COVID Update
Due to the rapid increase in COVID cases resulting from the omicron variant, holiday travel, and large holiday gatherings, we are going to temporarily suspend singing at the 10:30 service at Trinity. We are hopeful that this will be a short-lived change. We will also be taking steps to shorten the duration of our services over the next couple of weeks.
We are continuing to recommend, but not require masks during worship. For our parishioners who are immunocompromised, or in any way vulnerable to infection, we encourage you to stay safe! We continue to offer live-streamed worship of our 10:30 service on our Youtube page. The worship bulletin and other information is available below.
Please remember to dress warmly, as we will continue to keep the side doors of the church open during worship to increase air-flow.
As COVID numbers spike, we are also temporarily suspending Adult Christian Education and Children’s Chapel on Sunday mornings. We hope to resume these offerings soon, so stay tuned!

Exciting News!
it is with great joy that I announce that I have called the Reverend Claire Field to serve as our new Associate Rector. We celebrate the new ministry that Claire brings into our midst, continuing and building upon the good work that Nan has done over these past four years.
I am so excited about the possibilities that lie ahead for Trinity in these coming years. Claire will officially begin her ministry with Trinity on February 1st. LINK

Epiphany
This Thursday, January 6th, is the Feast of the Epiphany, and the official end of the Christmas Season. "Epiphany” is a Greek word meaning “manifestation, showing forth, revelation.” This feast proclaims our faith that in Jesus, God is revealed to all people — not just to an inner circle or a chosen few, but to all people, in all places, and throughout all time. Christians believe that in the person of Jesus we see who God is, and in the words and actions of Jesus we see God at work in the world. Epiphany marks a series of occasions at which Jesus was revealed to be God’s Son.
The feast of Epiphany and the weeks that follow are a time when we reflect on several “manifestations” of Jesus, as he was recognized as the Messiah (or Christ) by many different people. We hear about Jesus’ baptism in the river Jordan by John the Baptist...And at the end of the season we see Jesus’ glory shown to three of his disciples on the mountain as he is transfigured before them in a blaze of light.” (from Daily Prayer for all Seasons.) The liturgical color for the Feast of the Epiphany on January 6th, and the Baptism of Jesus on the Sunday following is white. Then the color switches to green for the ensuing Sundays after the Epiphany. In this season of the Epiphany, may we look for Jesus Christ to be made manifest through the gospel stories, in our lives, and in the world. Jesus is the light of the world- may we like the Magi, seek and follow Him.

Womens Bible/Book Study
On Tuesday, February 1, 2022, our women's group begins a new study of Amy Jill Levine's Sermon on the Mount: A Beginner's Guide to the Kingdom of Heaven. Matthew 5-7 is a series of Jesus's most profund and memorable teachings. We will ask what they would have meant to his disciples, how do they enhance how we read Matthew's gospel, and how do they speak to us today across the centuries. Are they, as many have said, a road map to living as God would have us live? Please join us on February 1, 2022 at noon in the multipurpose room of the main building as we begin this study. Please read the introduction and first chapter on the beatitudes. We will be meeting every first and third Tuesday of each month: Feb. 1 and 15th from noon to 1:30PM. See you soon. Sally Anderson
