Grant benefits Automotive Program
A federal grant will enable students in WCJC's Automotive Technology Program to obtain the technical training needed for a better understanding of electrical systems.

Faculty, support staff honored
WCJC has named its Faculty of the Year and Support Staff of the Year. Faculty of the Year is Dr. Andrea Shropshire and Support Staff of the Year is Armando Terronez.

LIFE CHANGING
ADN students prepare for careers

Students pursuing careers in the healthcare field are looking to WCJC's Associate Degree Nursing program to prepare them for their chosen profession. Houston native Lena Bono-Spencer will obtain her ADN degree this May and says she has little doubt that her WCJC education has prepared her well for a rewarding future.

KIDS' COLLEGE
There's something to capture the imagination of every child at the 2021 WCJC Kids' College, from computer workshops to Greek Mythology.
STP THANKS WCJC FOR EVENT HELP
The South Texas Project Nuclear Operating Company recently thanked WCJC for assistance in distributing COVID-19 vaccines. WCJC nursing students volunteered to assist at a vaccine event held in March that provided inoculations to 479 STP employees, contractors, retirees and family members.

Summer now open, Fall begins soon
Registration is now open for Wharton County Junior College’s May Mini-Term and Summer 2021 semesters. Fall registration begins on May 5.
