Opulent Obsessions Boutique of Downtown Summit and the Secret Tea Room are delighted to host an Extra Special Cream Tea, especially for women in business. Enjoy a relaxed, unrushed tea service served with scones, sandwiches, desserts, and a glass of prosecco whilst overlooking the beautiful gardens of Reeves-Reed Arboretum. This will be a lovely opportunity to wear summer dresses and hats, if you fancy a bit of dressing up, whilst enjoying a chat with old and new friends.

To mark the Platinum Jubilee and honor the 70-year reign of Queen Elizabeth, we will celebrate with a special tea service. Enjoy freshly baked scones and sandwiches along with fabulous desserts worthy of the occasion, complemented with our exquisite tea (limitless). Then raise your glasses of Pimms Cocktail or sparkling pink lemonade for a toast and expect rousing classics played by Steve Teti on the grand piano to celebrate this special occasion!

Enjoy other pop-up tea and coffee events overlooking the gardens this June:

The Suyat Band will be bringing a touch of Hawaii to the Mainland and Reeves-Reed Arboretum! Steadily building a reputation as one of the most consistently crowd-pleasing live acts on the East Coast, The Suyat Band delivers high-energy hits from yesterday and today with rock-solid musicianship and warm-hearted Aloha spirit. Led by its namesake, Hawaiian-born Matthew Suyat, a champion at the Apollo Theater and American Idol Top 24 Finalist, the band has performed at such historic venues as NYC's BB King's, Stephen's Talkhouse, and NJ's Wellmont Theater.

Grounds open at 6 pm for concertgoers to picnic. Performances begin at 7 pm sharp. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket. Concerts are rain or shine and will move indoors in case of inclement weather. RRA Members are free; Non-Members $15/person; Students $5.

With the NYC skyline as a backdrop, you'll be pleasantly surprised to find great paddling in the Meadowlands. The many creeks, sweeping through grassy hills and phragmites, offer an ecological system of tidal waters, where wading birds and other wildlife forage for food in the mud flats at low tide. This is a great daytime paddle and home to some beautiful sunsets. Witness this unexpected gem right under our noses.

Led by an ACA (American Canoe Association) certified kayak instructor from Kayak East, this tour is rated "Easy" meaning no experience is necessary. This tour is for paddlers of any skill level.

Adults have been partaking of this ritual for centuries. What makes this tea extra special is that it’s just for kids! In this program we will be joined by Richard Wright, owner of 'The Secret Tea Room' who will guide us through the process of making freshly baked chocolate scones and delicious summer tea.

Art Exhibits
Through Sunday, October 30, 2022

The Shoaling is the culmination of William Durkin’s lifelong love of the water and its inhabitants. An assembly of nearly 40 dynamic, glimmering sculptures compels us to take a closer look at the beauty of our oceans, rivers, and lakes—and the great perils they are facing. For more about the artist and this extraordinary exhibit, please click here.
Through Wednesday, May 31, 2023

We are happy to welcome two new sculptures to our garden by local artist Donna Conklin King: Alternate Universe and Monument for Healing. Donna Conklin King is a contemporary American artist known for her concrete sculptures. Her work explores the relationship between nature, architecture, and the ruins of civilization, creating settings that reveal the complexities of the human condition. For more about the artist and the sculptures, please click here.
