2020 Summer Student Entrepreneurship Programme
BEDC's Summer Student Entrepreneurship Programme ended on September 4th with an award ceremony at Hamilton Princess. Over the 8 week period, 10 students not only grew their businesses but their confidence as well. All students have expressed that they will continue their businesses.

We wish them all the best. The BEDC is here to help along the way!
Successful Vendor to
Create the BEDC Virtual
Market is Announced
The BEDC Virtual Market is an opportunity to promote economic development in Bermuda by providing small businesses with access to an online platform that will allow them to sell their goods and services. We are excited about the opportunity to support some of our local vendors and those who would not typically be able to have an online presence.
The BEDC team, with approval from the Board, selected Jahde Eve, founder of Code 441 to develop the market. We look forward to working with Jahde and to producing a solution that will create exponential opportunities for growth for Bermudians.
Lunch & Learn Webinar:
Vending Licenses
BEDC's Ray Jones & Ondreyah Rochester led this webinar to inform attendees about what it means to be a vendor in Bermuda, how to become a vendor and if vending is a good decision for your business.

Seeking Food Entrepreneurs
BEDC is looking to identify potential food entrepreneurs desirous of renting an underutilized commercial kitchen
facility on a scheduled basis. BEDC’s goal is to bridge commercial kitchen owners/
managers with interested users to develop this pilot program; providing entrepreneurs with an affordable, quality work environment to support their business start-up or expansion. BEDC’s intention is to play a project management/performance measurement role.
