DDYK STAFF SPOTLIGHT

PAM PICAZO

Mrs. Picazo has been teaching at Jefferson for 16 years.

She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and attended Aquinas College and Michigan State University. Her first job was at Taco Bell when she was only16 years old.

Her favorite bands are Fleetwood Mac and Cold Play and her favorite place to travel to is Ireland. Mrs. Picazo's favorite sports team is the Chicago Cubs.

If she were to win the lottery, Mrs. Picazo would love to travel the world. Costa Rica and Scotland are first on her list of possible destinations.

Her biggest pet peeve is when people don’t use their turn signals when they are driving. One chore that Mrs. Picazo hates doing is the laundry.

One thing people may not know about Mrs. Picazo is that she is bilingual. She speaks Spanish.

If she could choose her age forever, Mrs. Picazo would choose the present time, as she is grateful for the wisdom she has gained over the years.

Asked if she would love to have a super power, Mrs. Picazo mentioned she'd love the ability to instantly be somewhere without dealing with traffic.

If she could learn any skill, Mrs. Picazo would love to become an animal trainer.

Many experiences have made Mrs. Picazo stronger. She believes that living through many “This too shall pass” events in her life is a constant reminder that nothing is permanent, good or bad, and that each day needs to be enjoyed as it comes.

In Mrs. Picazo's view, success can be measured by the amount of peace and happiness one feels on a daily basis.

Her advice for kids who are struggling in school is to be proud of little successes. Small achievements add up to big ones!
MEGAN CHIVERTON

Mrs. Chiverton is an Instructional Aide in the 4th and 5th grade learning center and this is her second year working at Jefferson.

Mrs. Chiverton was born in Tamuning, Guam and is currently attending college at El Camino College. Her first job was working as a hostess at a restaurant called Coyote Cantina.

If she could have a superpower, she would love the ability to to fly because then she would not have to sit in traffic. Also she would be able to fly herself around the world and travel for free!

Her least favorite chore is taking out the trash.

If she could learn any skill, Mrs. Chiverton would love to learn sign language and learn how to write calligraphy.

One thing that people may not know about Mrs. Chiverton is that she loves to paint.

In Mrs. Chiverton's view, success can be defined as being happy, confident and healthy.
