Brush Creek Valley Ranch & Open Space Grand Opening
After an incredible amount of hard work, community support, and collaboration between a wide variety of partners, the Brush Creek Valley Ranch & Open Space is officially open to the public. This open space, owned by Eagle County and protected by a conservation easement held by EVLT, doesn't just provide outstanding recreation access - it also protects critical wildlife habitat and a working ranch. Learn more in Eagle County Open Space's new video by clicking here.
Donations from advocates like you have funded the majority of EVLT’s conservation work in our community. Those dollars have created a 13x return in terms of conservation value, and every donation given has been integral in leveraging additional funding from local, state, and federal partners that comes right back here to our home.

EVLT’s conservation work hasn’t stagnated in the face of the pandemic because right now we need open spaces and nature’s benefits more than ever. To keep it up in an uncertain economy, we need your help. Will you make a donation right now to help EVLT protect more land in our community? Click here to make a donation online.
Introducing the
Eagle Valley Wild Project
Photography is one of the most powerful tools in the conservation process. It's a key ingredient in galvanizing our community to protect the places that we all love and depend on. Photography by Todd Winslow Pierce has contributed to the success of recent landmark conservation projects like Sweetwater Lake and the Brush Creek Valley Ranch and Open Space. That’s why we're excited for the unveiling of Eagle Valley Wild, a non-profit enterprise that Todd founded with his partner Kate Morris that creates professional quality images and video content specifically for conservation-related organizations like EVLT, free of charge. The project not only celebrates EVLT’s achievements, but will also dramatically leverage our efforts moving forward. Please visit www.eaglevalleywild.org for more information about the project, how to support it, and to have a look at our home through his lens.
Thank You for Picnicking
2020 is the year of the picnic, and EVLT's first ever Farm to Fork Picnic was a big success thanks to our incredible partners, supporters, and picnic enthusiasts. The event, which replaced EVLT's annual Farm to Fork gala, helped raise funds to move local conservation projects forward during a tough year for our community. We're only $80,000 short of our pre-COVID Farm to Fork fundraising goal - will you raise your paddle to help our team close the gap? If you are able to donate, whether it be $5 or $50,000, the impact of your donation will have a ripple effect, serving our community and wildlife through thick and thin, forever.
Conservation for Community
Envisioning a new future for local conservation work is no easy feat. EVLT’s Community Conservation initiative aims to spur EVLT and partners to the forefront of tomorrow’s conservation. So how does “Community Conservation” work? It’s a process of listening, learning, implementing, evaluating, and iterating. The first step is engaging members of our community on protected land to show why we do what we do, to learn about why it is important to different people, and to understand the barriers to access that exist. It’s with this feedback that EVLT and partners can leverage conservation to...Continue reading.
