Now Available for Checkout! | |
Spring yard clean-up and summer gardening just got easier, and less expensive, because the Waterloo Public Library now lends tools that you would rather borrow than buy. From basic, rakes and shovels, to more specialized, loppers and post hole diggers, WPL has included gardening and yard tools in our Library of Things collection.
Here’s what cardholders need to know:
- Up to 3 Library of Things items per card
- This collection checks out for two weeks, with up to two 2-week renewals if no one else is waiting
- Patrons may place a hold on these items or in person by visiting the kiosk in the lobby
- Patrons borrowing tools must sign a waiver agreement at the time of checkout
- Tools must be returned clean and in good working condition
- Fines will accrue at $1 per day for overdue items
This collection was made possible with funding from Green Iowa AmeriCorps.
