CIAC calls for action to renew and transform Ontario’s chemistry sector
November 8, CIAC called on the Province of Ontario to work with the industry and other stakeholders to renew and transform Ontario’s important chemistry sector.

President and CEO Bob Masterson noted, “The global chemistry sector is one of the world’s fastest growing sectors. That growth is expected to continue with global chemical volumes tripling over the next two decades.”

Montreal Economic Institute and CIAC presents panel on future of natural resources 
In partnerhip with Montreal Economic Institute (MEI), CIAC, the Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC), the Canadian Fuels Association (CFA), and the Mining Association of Canada (MAC) held a virtual panel discussion on November 3, called Canada’s Natural Resources of Tomorrow.

CIAC Plastics Division Taking part in Plast-EX 2021
This week, the CIAC Plastics Division took part in the three-day Plast-EX conference in Toronto as part of the larger Advanced Design & Manufacturing Expo. Along with a booth in the exhibition area of the conference where the Plastics Division met attendees and highlighted products and sustainability efforts from Plastics Division members, CIAC staff were featured in two separate panels: A Circular Economy for Plastics and its Pivotal Role in a Net-Zero Future with Elena Mantagaris, Vice President, CIAC Plastics Division as moderator, and; Strengthening Canada’s Manufacturing Sector: What’s Next featuring Bob Masterson, President and CEO of CIAC as a panelist.
