A Message from Serenitye Taylor: September 3, 2021
Dear Friends

Happy Labor Day weekend!

This is the bittersweet time of year where we begin to say goodbye to summer. If you are like me, you probably don’t want to spend much of your three-day weekend thinking about work. I’m sure you would much rather be planning a trip to the beach or thinking about what you'll be putting on the grill Monday.

In our homes, we place a huge value on work. We try to instill the importance of work to our kids; we see work as a way to pay our bills and enjoy the luxuries of life. But were we ever taught to enjoy work? Do we take pleasure in the work that we do?

This weekend we will have one contemporary service at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary and online. We will consider Paul’s letter to the Romans and how he calls us to live out our Christian faith in our everyday lives. I hope you will join us.

Peace,
