Hello NoVA Post Crew! It was truly wonderful to see so many of you that were able to attend JETC in Denver this year. Our Post was honored in two separate ways at the event:
-
Out of 98 Posts, our Post was again identified as one of the best large posts in the society – 48 posts achieved “with distinction”
-
Our very own Jay Manik, P.E., F.SAME was awarded the Gerald C. Brown Mentoring Award for his outstanding efforts mentoring others both in the USCG and in SAME. Congrats Jay and thanks for everything that you do for our Post each year!
As usual, we have some pretty interesting events coming up very soon. On June 2nd, meet us at the Lost Rhino Brewing Co in Ashburn to learn about the future of data center development and mingle with another professional society focused in this industry ~ 7x24 Exchange DC Chapter and the USA-CO (Uniformed Service Advocates in Critical Operations).
Our Leadership & Mentorship Program continues and we will be attending the ACEC Awards Gala in DC on May 24th with many from the current class. If you attend, please stop at our table and say hello! Many thanks to ACEC/MW for supporting our LMP class to attend.
Thank you for your support and involvement with the NoVA Post. See you soon at one of our events coming up!

The SAME IGE Cyber panel will offer a glimpse into the recommendations for the AEC industry to improve cyber safety in a smarter world. The program will refresh the topic from the past two sessions, and give insight into the path of the current working group.
