The O'Reilly Minute
Dear Parents,

The next several weeks we are expecting to continue to see a high incidence of COVID cases. We will do our best to provide staff coverage, but if we are unable to safely and effectively cover classes, we may need to have short-term temporary closures. This could include the whole school, or certain grade levels or departments, depending on the shortage. At this point, the diocese is not considering long-term remote learning. However, this is a very fluid situation and creative solutions may once again be needed to successfully navigate this new COVID variant.

Franklin County Public Health has adopted the new CDC changes to quarantines and isolations, reducing them to five days based on certain circumstances. Here is the letter from Franklin County Public Heath addressing these changes. You can read the CDC's newest guidelines here. If you have questions about if you need to quarantine or isolate, please contact our school nurse, Allison Mensching at [email protected] or (614) 718-5825.

If you have one child that is sick, all siblings are to stay home until negative results are in for the sick child. The siblings of the ill child can come to school if they are asymptomatic and fully vaccinated within the last 6 months, or were documented as positive in the last 90 days.

Yesterday we received a shipment of new COVID test kits so we do have kits in stock if needed.

Our current student re-enrollment for the 22-23 school year will begin this Friday, January 7, with a deadline of Friday, January 14. This includes current preschool through 7th grade students. This process will be done in your FACTS Family Portal. An email with details and instructions will be sent Friday morning. Please note this will also include the current family latchkey enrollment for 22-23. (There is now a $10 per child re-enrollment fee, however the $25 per family latchkey enrollment fee is waived).

Happy New Year,
Kathy O'Reilly

Uniform and Spirit Wear Exchange on Jan 30 10am-12:30pm in Hendricks Hall
It’s a new year! Do your kids need to size up or get ready for spring weather? Or maybe they need a new spirit wear item for Catholic Schools Week?! If so, please sign up to attend this socially-distanced exchange held in Hendricks Hall.

All school families are invited to drop off gently used uniforms to the school office through Friday, Jan 28. Items accepted include all logo and non-logo uniform items AND spirit wear/PE uniforms.
