Greetings!
In Sarasota, the Sarasota Opera's Spring Festival is winding down, Bouganvillea is in full bloom, Mother's Day is a few weeks away, and the Real Estate Market continues to be hot!

This issue features links to my redesigned website, updates on sales at Waterline Villas & Marina, The Ringling's Women & Circus, a new trolley service from downtown to Lido Beach, reviews on two local businesses, and a list of my recent sales.

As always, I'm here to provide valuable insights into the Sarasota real estate market so you can stay educated and informed, especially in these unprecedented times. If I can help you in any way, reach out to me at 941-260-6429 or georgia@georgiasalaverri.com

Women & The Circus

Bring the Circus Museum to your home — virtually — via Zoom. The Ringling's New Perspectives on Women & The Historic Circus is a series of virtual presentations celebrating women in the circus. The series is presented by cultural and circus historians whose research brought them to The Ringling.

For more than one hundred years, women joined the circus serving in many roles. They were wives to stars, tent cooks, and costume makers. They were also celebrity performers in sideshows and in the center ring; brassy "Big Cat" trainers, trick horse riders, delicate beauties with athletic talents, and exotic burlesque dancers—the show would not have gone on as it did without women. Now through May 6. Reserve your spot
Indigenous Restaurant
Passion for food, community, and planet

Indigenous is an American restaurant located in the historic Towles Court District in Sarasota's Laurel Park neighborhood. It is aptly named for its use of sustainable sourcing of ingredients native to the area and from the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico

The fun, the ever-changing menu includes entrees such as "QUEEN SNAPPER" (Madeira Beach, Fl.) with Korean pancake, charred cabbage slaw, cilantro, "magic" sauce, and "BRAISED BRISKET" (Providence Cattle, Fl.) with lightly smoked bacon braised green beans, baked Anson Mills cheddar grits, black pepper molasses reduction. Yum. There's also an excellent wine list. It’s definitely one of my favorite restaurants!

New Trolley Service Downtown to Lido Beach

Sarasota residents and visitors alike look forward to a new trolley service this upcoming summer.

Plans for three "hop-on" free open-air trolleys will cruise from East Main Street in Downtown to South Lido Beach beginning in August. The service will run every 20 to 25 minutes, Thursdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The overall goal is to help alleviate traffic congestion on one of the busiest thoroughfares in the city.
Extraordinary + Awesome Coffee & Ice Cream Shop

Rise & Nye's is an amazing coffee and ice cream shop in downtown Sarasota run by people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Rise is not only about serving up delicious coffee and hand-crafted ice cream sandwiches, "it is about inclusion, acceptance and opportunity for all."

The coolest thing about Rise is that it offers job skills training to help prepare our special friends for meaningful work in the shop and for other local businesses.

Rise Coffee & Nyes Cream Shop is located at 1534 State Street.
