Greetings!
I write today to announce the unification of the University’s Office of Communications and Integrated Marketing departments. This organizational restructure is designed to inspire increased collaboration within the marketing and communications efforts, ensure brand alignment, and to foster the growth of the University’s presence in the marketplace. To accomplish these goals, Maureen Halley has been appointed as the new Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, she will oversee the strategic advancement of all integrated marketing, public relations, and communications activities as they relate to the mission of the University.
Michael Guilfoyle, Executive Director of Communications, has accepted a role with Regis College to serve as their next Vice President of Marketing and Communications. His last day at Assumption will be June 30.
In his eight plus years with Assumption, Michael was a key influence in advancing the University’s communications and media coverage strategies. Among his accomplishments, he led development and publication of the AU Mobile App to streamline communications and transformed Assumption Magazine into an award-winning publication. Michael’s office of communications also developed one of the University’s most established internship programs, providing mentorship and experience for groups of students each semester.
On behalf of the Assumption community, I would like to thank Michael for his dedication to the University and congratulate Maureen on her new leadership appointment.
