City of Brevard Chief of Police Tom Jordon will be speaking on collaborations between the police department and the business community.

Tom Jordan was sworn in as the Chief of Police for Brevard in January 2021. Before moving to the area, he worked for the Montgomery County Police Department for 25 years, and his police career began in 1993 as a U.S. Capitol police officer. In 2010, he received his master’s degree at Johns Hopkins University in the Police Executive Leadership Program, with a degree in management, and, in 2018, he graduated from the Senior Management Institute of Police through a nonprofit organization called the Police Executive Research Forum. Chief Jordan also previously taught crisis management, criminal investigation and ethics at the University of Maryland. He enjoys hiking and kayaking down the French Broad with his family.
