Save the Date: Confirmation and Reception- November 13, 2022
Bishop Stokes will be visiting us on Sunday, November 13 (St. Martin's Sunday). On this Sunday youth and adults will be Confirmed by the laying on of hands by the Bishop, and newcomers who were confirmed in the Roman Catholic, Orthodox, or Lutheran Churches may be received by the laying on of the hands by the Bishop, thereby becoming a full member of the Episcopal Church.

If you wish to be confirmed (youth and adults), or if you are already confirmed and wish to be received as a full member of St. Martin's, or if you are confirmed and wish to reaffirm your faith in a public way, please contact Father Rob. Confirmation classes for youth and adults, (and for those wishing to be confirmed or received) will be conducted in September and October (with an overnight retreat on September 23-24). More information will be forthcoming.
Upcoming Dates

June 26: Pride Mass at 10:30 a.m. with Community Pride Picnic immediately following.

I WILL NEED ALL HANDS ON DECK FOR THIS EVENT. I need people to help me plan, as well as people to cook, hand out food, bake for the bake sale, and set up and break down. This is only 1 of 4 Pride events held by an Episcopal church in our Diocese. Let's show our PRIDE!
Outreach
Outreach will continue to collect shoes until Sunday, June 12th. Please tie a rubber band or attach the two shoes together before leaving them in the narthex.

SHIP is once again taking the food truck to Manville on Wednesday nights so we need volunteers for Wednesday, June 15th. The time is 5:30 to 6:30. Please contact Marlene if you can man the truck this month.  mficzko@optonline.net

Beginning Sunday, June 19th through Sunday, July 31st  we will be collecting food items for the Somerset County Food Bank. We are also hopeful that casseroles can be delivered to SHIP during July. More to follow on that!

Finally, we recently learned that the food bank receives eggs from a local farmer but they are delivered in crates. The eggs are then transferred to old, perused cartons. Sometimes the cartons are used multiple times. So Outreach is asking that you save your egg cartons and bring them to Church. We will continually take what is donated to the food bank.

Thank you to those who volunteered at the food bank in Somerville during May and to those who donated rice for the food bank.
