Required Summer Resources
Each student must select two books over the summer - one with her class, and one from a list designed to highlight particular areas to be covered in the class. The student will be held accountable for her reading in the form of a written essay or project on the text chosen from the list.
This packet is due on the first day of classes. It will be assumed that you have mastery of this material and if you do not, you should seek out help. You will have a diagnostic test over this summer packet within the first two weeks of school.
Additional Summer Resources
The Counseling Office and our Learning Consultants have complied some resources as you work through your summer reading. Click through the links below for some additional resources on reading comprehension, annotating and color-coding your notes.

Fall Sports Tryouts
For students wanting to try out for a fall sport, please refer to the athletics page for the most up-to-date information on fall tryouts. On the first day of tryouts, students will receive the tryout schedule for the rest of the week. If you have any questions or concerns with any of our athletic programs, please email the Athletic Director at jbrooks@ursulinestl.org. Fall sport tryouts are scheduled to begin on August 8.
Coalition Presentation - Incoming Freshmen
The St. Louis Secondary Schools Coalition is sponsoring a series of informational meetings for parents of the Class of 2026. Please see the attached letter regarding the information on these meetings. Each freshman must have at least one parent attend one of these sessions. Parents will have the option to attend either the live presentation or live webinar.
Service Hours - Over the Summer
Every student at Ursuline is required to complete 120 hours of service over the course of her four years at Ursuline. Students use Mobileserve to track their hours. Freshman and transfer students will learn about the requirements, guidelines, and the Mobileserve platform in August. In the meantime, if freshman or transfer students volunteer this summer we ask them to review the guidelines below and use the service tracking form for proper documentation of their hours.
Please reach out to Nicole Weston (314-984-2806) or Kristen Jensen (314-984-2830) in Campus Ministry if you have any questions.
