Dear Friends,
We’ve recently adopted a new strategic plan and the leadership of the SEED board is essential to the success of this plan. We're grateful for our board members, who volunteer their time in service of the community. Please welcome our newest members:
Amber Rose Jimenez strives towards a just, multiracial democracy and advises the Paul G Allen Family Foundation on its arts and culture grantmaking portfolio.
Pearl Nelson works in affordable home ownership, is an acclaimed artist, and has a vision of creating more affordable arts spaces.
Mari Tamiyasu has a background in nonprofit administration and communications, and works as Director of Strategic Initiatives and Board Secretary at Seattle Foundation.
Ashwin Warrior is a Program Analyst at HUD with experience working in affordable housing in Seattle and nationwide.

We’re honored to have these new board members at SEED, helping empower our work in affordable housing, arts, and economic development.
All the best,
Michael Seiwerath, Executive Director

COVID Testing Site Wrapping Up
In March 2022, UW Medicine, HomeSight, and SEED worked to keep free COVID testing in the community. When asked how long they thought they’d be testing, UW staff answered, “We work on COVID’s timeline.” Operating out of our headquarters, the site served over 20,000 neighbors over the past year. Due to decreased demand for testing, the site is closing on March 31. Thank you to UW Medicine for their commitment to equitable, free testing.

KVRU Radio Reboot
Thank you to everyone who came to KVRU's Open House last month. We had a full house of attendees - age 8 to 72! We met KVRU's new advisory board members, toured the revamped studios, and talked about refocusing on community empowerment.
