2020-21 School Theme: Embrace Challenge

Brookfield Academy’s atmosphere is so positive. It’s an environment where I feel surrounded by people with similar tenacity and willpower to go after challenges and dreams. Students see their studies as a priority and want to succeed in and out of the classroom. BA has empowered me to develop new skills and to step out of my comfort zone.
~Morgan Allen, Senior
This school allowed me to discover and try many different things from many different disciplines. I am currently in advanced Calculus and taking two different languages. These are easily among my favorite subjects. I also love AP Physics and the challenges it presents, and I also sing in the Choir. Brookfield Academy allowed me to be rounded and successful at the same time.
~Peter Mueller, Senior
Brookfield Academy is a great school for so many reasons and the choices and opportunities that it offers its students are like no other school’s. In fact, my father, who grew up in Russia many years ago, would often look at my schoolwork and be impressed by the important, valuable skills I was being taught at BA as young as 1st grade, including how to structure essays, run a business, and even format business letters. I believe that BA is truly a special school for being able to teach us such essential life skills and prepare us for the adult world.
~Daniel Perelman, Senior
My time at Brookfield Academy has nurtured a lot of personal growth. Although I was not always learning my life lessons directly through the classroom, over the years I have become more assured of my own worth, whether it be on the field hockey field or at an open house. As I grow older, I hope to encourage others the way I have learned to encourage myself.
~Serena Suson, Senior

Last week, our 2020-21 Annual Fund brochure began arriving in homes. You will notice the brochure features a Wish List of specific needs across all our School Divisions. Also this year, in recognition of those going above and beyond, Brookfield Academy is accepting gifts for the Honor Roll Fund. This is a chance to recognize a person or group of individuals who are making a difference during these difficult times. All Honor Roll gifts will be recognized on a special page of the BA website and in the Annual Report. More information will be available soon!
Also, keep up with Brookfield Academy on Facebook and Instagram!! Each week we will highlight a trivia question (including prizes) featuring various campus improvements over the years.
Thank you in advance for your participation. Our students are counting on your support! Questions? Email Peter Grossman in the Advancement Office, or call 262-783-3200 ext. 186 for more information.

Giving Day is November 24
The Annual Fund Online Giving Day is Tuesday, November 24, featuring giveaways and raffles for those who contribute that day. New this year: In the spirit of giving, Brookfield Academy families will have the opportunity to drop off non-perishable food items and clothing which will be donated to those in need. More details coming soon.
Don’t want to wait for Giving Day to make your gift to BA? You can donate online anytime; simply visit the BA website and select Give Now. You are also welcome to mail your donations, or drop them off at Founders Hall. Thank you in advance for your participation! Questions? Contact Peter Grossman in the Advancement Office.
Special Giving Options
A great way to contribute to the Annual Fund is by giving monthly. Annual Fund donations do not all need to be given at one time. The monthly giving option allows for families to give to BA automatically for a specified period of time. Visit the BA website to enroll now!
Increase the Impact of your Donation
Ask your employer about matching your Brookfield Academy donation. Many businesses make donations to local charities, and one common way is by offering a matching funds donation for their employees. Give to BA and your employer matches your donation - sometimes up to three times your donation amount! Companies such as Northwestern Mutual Life, Delta Airlines, WE Energies, Markel Corporation, Artisan Partners, GE Foundation, and Novartus have contributed regularly to Brookfield Academy through a company match program. Contact your company's benefits department today!
Giving Back
Many companies offer an option for you to “Give Back” to local charities. When you shop at their establishment, they will donate a portion of the proceeds to the charity of your choosing. Simply select Brookfield Academy at the following businesses, and they will do the rest! (This is not intended to replace your Annual Fund donation. It is merely another available option that benefits our students.) Available programs include Amazon Smile, Box Tops for Education, Pick ‘n Save, Target, Lands End, and many more. Contact the Advancement Office for more information.
Grandparents Celebration
October is the month to celebrate Grandparents! Gift packets will be delivered to your special person soon. Don’t forget to search and share the heartwarming performance videos on the special events page of the BA Website.
Thank you to all the parent volunteers who helped make this event happen. We will see everyone again in 2021!
