San Francisco Interfaith Council Online Briefing for Faith Leaders
Addresses Impact of COVID-19 on Education in San Francisco

Earlier today, the San Francisco Interfaith Council (SFIC), supported by the COVID Command Center's Joint Information Center (JIC) Virtual Outreach Team, hosted the 23rd in a series of weekly COVID-19 (Coronavirus) response briefings for faith leaders. Today's briefing featured San Francisco Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Vincent Matthews, Ed.D. and San Francisco Department of Public Health COVID Command Center Community Branch Schools and Childcare Hub Team Lead Ana Validzic, who addressed the challenges and creative solutions San Francisco is employing to support students, faculty, families and academic administrative systems in responding to the COVID-19.
Also participating were Zoom Briefing Moderator/SFIC Executive Director Michael Pappas, SFIC Board Chair and Shanti Project Executive Director Kaushik Roy, San Francisco Islamic School Teacher, Administrator and Board Member Kashif Abdullah, The Brandeis School Head of School Dr. Dan Glass, Cathedral School for Boys Lower School Director Kate Juergens and Archdiocese of San Francisco Superintendent of Catholic Schools Pamela Lyons. Special appreciation is extended to SFIC Program/Administrative Associate Cynthia Zamboukos and the COVID Command Center's Joint Information Center Virtual Outreach Coordinator John McKnight and Team: Producer Lynne Mayes and Lead Sharon Walton.
