Democratic Debate Watch Party Draws a Crowd at HQ

The Montgomery County Democratic Party hosted a debate party for the first and second Presidential Debates in June. The event attracted several new Democrats to our doors and the crowd was jocular, made more so by the fine array of snacks, prizes, beverages and debate materials! We know there will be more watch parties and you can join us anytime!
We especially thank Caroline Stansky, Indiana Schnicer, and Via Rockitter, for making our debate issue score cards, ballots, and bingo cards. They really made the evening fun and focused.

Remember Those Old Worn Out Orange Chairs?

Thanks to the Wednesday Headquarters Crew, those old orange chairs have been turned Texas Blue! No more orange! No more duct tape!
Nita Purcell and her amazing crew of Steve Halls and Harry Adams performed the transformation in a single morning. Nita arrived with the new vinyl squares cut to size, screw drivers, staple guns, scissors and a master plan that made the impossible possible in time for eager Montgomery County Democrats to sit in the chairs for the first Presidential Debate later that same day.
Our thanks to the Wednesday Crew for their generous donation of initiative, time, talent, resources and money that made this possible. They have proven once again that the Headquarters Volunteers can make anything happen!
Election Workers Needed

Election day will be here before you know it. We need Democrats to man election polls as Poll Clerks, Election Judges and Election Techs.

  VOTER ALERT!
CHECK YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION STATUS!!

In this time of aggressive voter purges, internet hacking, and various forms of voter suppression, it is extremely important to confirm that your registration status is current and active. Texas is among the states that enforces voter suspension and purging of "inactive" or voters. In Montgomery County alone, there are over 44,000 voter files which have been marked for suspension and eventual purging. For various reasons you may have had your registration suspended. Reasons may include moving without updating your information, not voting in the previous 2 elections, or having mail returned as undeliverable to the Elections administration.

Don't miss out on your right to vote. You may use these links to check your voter registration status to confirm you are up-to-date, to be sure you have the required form(s) of ID to cast your ballot, to find your precinct # and voting locations as well as a SAMPLE BALLOT for your precinct.
