Board of Supervisors Meeting Highlights - March 3

The Board of Supervisors held their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 3. At the meeting, supervisors approved resolution R-12-2021 to establish a voting district advisory committee to help organize districts. Supervisors also approved the minor land development for Moon Dog Park as recommended by the planning commission.

At the meeting, supervisors appointed residents to the new Moon Parks Foundation board until the first Monday in January 2023. They also held a public hearing for the planned non-residential development application for the Diamond Ridge Master Plan. They called for a motion to close the public hearing and will finalize details and come back to it in the April meeting.

The meeting also included two presentations. Moon Transportation Authority representative, Lynn Colosi, presented the history and importance of MTA in the area. Afterward, Representative Valerie Gaydos made a presentation about the state updates on the COVID vaccine.

The Board of Supervisors regular public meeting is held on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. Watch live on MAG-TV, Comcast channel 18, or Verizon channel 37. The meetings are rebroadcast throughout the month on MAG-TV. Check the website for times. You can also watch a recording online. View the meeting agendas in advance here.

That weekend, root for your team and track the wins and losses of the teams you found in the park. The bracket gets smaller the second week and the items will be harder to find. The group who finds the most winning teams over both weeks wins a Moon Parks basketball prize basket.
