God was gracious once again in sparing us from another hurricane! As I write this, Hurricane Sally has not come ashore, and I do not know what the needs will be of those located east of us. But, we are still collecting goods (a list of needed items may be found on both our Facebook and Web pages) for Merryville, LA. You may stay abreast of the needs and schedules by 'liking' the hope4merryville Facebook page. Sometime in early October, I would like to organize a 1-day chainsaw and cleanup trip. Be looking for details.
Don't forget our 24-hour vigil scheduled for September 24-25. It will precede a prayer rally in support of Franklin Graham's call for Prayer March in Washington, D.C. on September 26th, for a time of worship and prayer in behalf of our nation. You may visit PrayerMarch2020.com for more information on the Washington Prayer March. You may also order your own Prayer March 2020 T-shirt from that site, if you would like one. I hope you will make plans to bring your lawn chair and participate with us!
Thank you to those who signed up for our Contact Ministry! We will get you the guidelines and contact information to get this ministry off the ground soon!
It is with joy that I am able to inform you that we are planning to re-start all Sunday School departments on Sunday, October 4th, and our Wednesday night Prayer Meeting and children's activities on Wednesday, October 7th! ALL adult Sunday School teachers are asked to attend a re-start guideline meeting in the Fellowship Hall on Wednesday, September 23rd, at 5:00 pm. Sunday evening services and activities will continue to be suspended for the time being.
Joy to the World!
Dan
