Spring Open House offers virtual connections
Spring Open House will be held March 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Share your alumni pride and let future Lancers know that they can learn more about what makes us all Windsor Proud.

They can talk with professors while taking the next step in the admission process.

Webinars to support wellness
The Alumni Association, in partnership with the department of Human Resources, is offering a new Mental Wellness series. The local Canadian Mental Health Association will host three, one-hour webinars. They will be delivered by Alumna Jenny-Lee Almeida BA ’05, ’07 a mental health educator, facilitator and trainer. 
Mind Your Moments: Bringing Mindfulness into Everyday Life will be offered March 9 from 12 noon to 1 p.m.  Registration is required in order to access to the webinar however, participants will enjoy privacy during the sessions.

Author debuts with crime novel
Céline Perron MA '18 used her time during lockdown to write her debut novel, The Next Right Thing, a crime thriller both dangerous and thought provoking. The novel brings together victims of crime, moral dilemmas, and an elusive gang leader.

Central character Rena must decide whether the right thing is always the best thing. In this page turner, readers will follow along as Rena chooses to overcome her fears and finds bravery she never knew she had within. Continue reading.

INCIRQUE recognized for adapting during pandemic
Kyle Sipkens' BFA '08 company INCIRQUE was awarded a Service Excellence Award by Festivals & Events Ontario. This year, FEO awards program acknowledged the festivals and suppliers who were able to adapt, pivot and evolve through the challenges of the past year. 

INCIRQUE was recognized for adapting its roaming stilt characters into “physical distancing officers”. These characters used the same tools that help bring joy to so many people at festivals, in malls, reverse parades, and smaller community events. Visit the INCIRQUE website.
