This Week's LOT:
2018 J. P. MOUEIX POMEROL OFFER
Ch. HOSANNA | Ch. TROTANOY
Hi everyone

The name Jean-Pierre Moueix is not just synonymous with great Bordeaux, it defines the greatest Pomerols of all. Proprietors and negociants, the Moueix family have owned, managed and distributed some of Bordeaux's greatest wines for nearly a century. And although heavily involved in all of Bordeaux - not to mention, exceptional holdings in California's Napa Valley as well - it is in the tiny, hallowed village of Pomerol where the Moueix family achieve their greatest wines.

The family own some of the most legendary names of all - Chateaux Trotanoy, La Fleur-Petrus, Hosanna, La Fleur-Gazin, La Tour-a-Pomerol - and of course, Chateau Petrus itself. They also distribute the likes of Certan-de-May and Bourgneuf, and in neighbouring St.-Emilion own Belair-Monange, Clos la Madeleine and many others.

All of these wines are rare, scarcely produced in tiny volumes, and frantically sought the world over by collectors and consumers alike. Allocations are always tiny, and ferociously competed for. Unsurprisingly, critical praise is always loud, strong, and scores are inevitably high - often the highest of all in each vintage.

Today we're proud to offer two wines - the extraordinary Trotanoy, and the seldom-seen Hosanna - both from the magnificent 2018 vintage. We only have a handful of bottles, and they will sell out quickly, so please do not delay in ordering these incredible wines if you want to experience some of the greatest Merlot-based wines produced on the planet.

We hope you enjoy today's LOT.

Cheers

Stewart, Marcus and Rhiannon.
2018 Ch. HOSANNA. $385 per bottle offer price (normally $450).
"A real powerhouse of a Pomerol, the 2018 Château Hosanna checks in as a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, all from a tiny, 11-acre parcel of blue clay and more red, gravelly soils in the heart of the appellation. This site has good neighbors, with Vieux Château Certan (and Certan de May) to the south, Lafleur just to the north, Petrus to the east, and La Fleur-Petrus to the west. Gorgeous blackcurrants, plum, chocolate, scorched earth, tobacco leaf, and graphite are just some of the nuances here, and this beauty is full-bodied, has a wonderfully textured, opulent mouthfeel, silky tannins, and one heavenly finish. It's up with the crème de la crème of the vintage, and that includes both banks. This straight-up stunning Pomerol will be drinkable with just 4-5 years of bottle age yet cruise for 30-40 years! 99+ points." Jeb Dunnock.

2018 Ch TROTANOY. $700 per bottle offer price (normally $825).
"Another heavenly Pomerol in the vintage, the 2018 Château Trotanoy checks in as 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc brought up in (I suspect) lots of new French oak (although it's certainly not apparent). Revealing a dense purple hue as well as a smorgasbord-like bouquet of blackcurrants, dried flowers, cured meats, violets, tobacco, and chocolate, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a sexy, seductive texture, building yet sweet tannins, and just a rich, concentrated, yet flawless profile on the palate that's already impossible to resist. Nevertheless, a good 7-8 years of bottle age are warranted, and this magical elixir is going to evolve for 40 years or more. 100 points." Jeb Dunnock.

Also: 99 points, Lisa Perotti-Brown (Wine Advocate); 99 points, Antonio Galloni (Vinous).
This wine is available at the special offer price until Tuesday, 24th August unless sold out earlier.
