Making Sense of Explanations Simon DeDeo and his colleagues used Bayes Theorem to predict the factors that could affect how an explanation forms. Their work supports the legitimacy of scientific arguments but also provides a window into abnormal phenomena, like delusions, conspiracy theories and extremist ideologies.
