RELAUNCHED DHHS NEWSPAPER THE SPOTLIGHT IS COMING!

Did you know that DHHS has a student newspaper, The Spotlight?

Faculty sponsor Mr. Pierson Bauer said "In the last couple of years, the paper really struggled, but this year we hope to get things back up and running. This is my second year teaching at Druid Hills, but I am also an alumnus, and I was actually Editor-In-Chief of The Spotlight when I was a student. I'm really thrilled to have this opportunity to bring it back for the Druid Hills community and I know first-hand what a great, unique opportunity it provides for the students and school."

If you have a business that would like to advertise in The Spotlight or would like to purchase a subscription for your family, see the forms below!

DHHS HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE STILL NEEDS YOU!

DHHS Hospitality is the PTO committee focused on showing appreciation for our Teachers and Staff year-round. Each year, we provide meals and other treats for our teachers and staff, coordinate the annual cookie exchange, and work to facilitate Teacher Appreciation week.

We also help support the annual Teacher Appreciation Party, which takes place in May of each year.

We welcome your participation. We are seeking people to help plan our activities; to serve as support volunteers to ensure our activities run smoothly - and clean up after them; to organize the annual cookie exchange, and to coordinate Teacher Appreciation Week activities. If this sounds like something you would enjoy, please sign up. More questions? Find us at dhhshospitality@gmail.com

Thank you for considering this way of supporting the DHHS PTO as we show year-round appreciation for our amazing Teachers and Staff!

- Susan-Anne MacKenna, Hospitality Chair

As always, if your child is not feeling well, please keep them at home. DO NOT SEND SICK STUDENTS IN TO SCHOOL.

Please IMMEDIATELY call the school at 678-874-6302 if your child tests positive for COVID-19, which will allow the school to initiate its procedures for notifying close contacts.

  • All people age 12+ are eligible for free vaccinations -- the single best way to prevent infection, sickness, and hospitalization. Find a vaccine here.

  • In accordance with CDC guidelines, wear a mask consistently and correctly.

  • Let's work together to keep our children, families, and community as safe as possible
